I initiated and worked with a team of software engineers at UBC on a project on classroom response software for students. The software had two parts, student part which was an app for iPhone/iPad, Android-based products, or a windows laptop, and the base software for the instructors. Students would connect to the instructor's computer and submit their answers from their portable devices.
The outcome of the project was successful and led to a startup (Seron Electronics). The apps were available on iTunes and Google Play and the website of Seron Electronics for free, but due to lack of support/interest from universities in adopting this free software in their classrooms, we decided to terminate the project.
Here are some screenshots of the iAnswer (iPhone app), aAnswer (Android app), and the base software.
